World music is one of the building blocks of the ME brand, and in 2011 a dedicated, one-of-a-kind music program was launched in all of the locations ME Madrid, ME Barcelona, ME Cabo, and ME Cancun. The program, in partnership with 4AM DJs and Hed Kandi, embodies ME’s experiential philosophy by engaging the traveler’s intellect, emotions, senses, and desires.

4AM is a New York City based DJ company providing music for all nightclubs, lounges, bars, restaurants, hotels, and events around the world. Like ME, 4AM is enmeshed in the cutting-edge aspects of art, entertainment, and design. The foundational roster includes DJs who specialize in Hip-Hop, House, Rock, Electro, and Mashup styles. 4AM is a collaboration of the world famous DJ Jus-Ske, Jesse Marco, Adam Alpert, and Jon Lennon. 4AM's many years of collective experience and tremendous network has it at the forefront of the best venues and events around the world beginning with New York City, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Boston, Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.�

As part of the program, 4AM DJs mix collections of tunes and beats with the goal of creating a varied selection that caters to each individual guest’s tastes. In ME’s public spaces, guests will get to experience new music within different genres from around the world. Part of the collaboration with 4AM features an in-room amenity that allows guests to create their own vibe and set their own mood through personalized playlists on hotel iPods. The renowned DJ company has prepared a series of customized mixes in four genres, including house/electro, hip hop/mashup, rock and a “locals only” mix which is a reflection of the culture and flavor of each hotel destination. These compilations have been uploaded to the hotel’s own iPods, a service which has been one of the brand’s ongoing guest attributes. The New York City-based company has also provided ME with 20 hours of music to be played at the various public spaces of the hotels.
